FOUNTAIN CITY CORVETTE CLUB
History & Purpose
The Fountain City Corvette Club of Bryan, Ohio, was established in 1971 for the enjoyment of all Corvette owners. The club strives to meet this objective through participation in various social activities throughout the year, such as driving tours, parades, racing events and car shows, as well as banquets, picnics and evenings out with friends. The club is affiliated with the National Council of Corvette Clubs, so membership includes both local (FCCC) and national (NCCC) dues. Our membership consists of Corvette enthusiasts from northwestern Ohio and southern Michigan. Meetings are held the 2nd Thursday of the month at Stan Pepple Motors Inc. in Bryan Ohio.
The Fountain City Corvette Club is a non-profit organization that sponsors several moneymaking activities throughout the year. In recent years, these have included our Spring Spectacular Car Show held in June at the Defiance Mall, and our Labor Day Event Weekend at G.M. Powertrain in Defiance. The latter is a weekend of racing, consisting of several Speed events on a pyloned course. It draws competitors from many NCCC Regions around the country. Subsequently, income from club activities is donated annually to various local charities.
Our member’s Corvettes range from the C1 series, through the beautiful mid-year C2’s, the C3’s; many C4’s, C5’s, and now the C6’s are becoming popular. In order to enjoy these great automobiles, one of club’s highlights has been an annual Fall Color Tour in October. In recent years, the club has enjoyed a Spring Tour as well. Over the years, we have visited many places of interest, such as the National Corvette Museum, Gatlinburg, Tennessee; Niagara Falls; Hershey, Pennsylvania; Brown County, Indiana; the covered bridges of Parke County, Indiana; Galena, Illinois; Mackinaw City, Michigan; and the 5-mile bridge, and a drive along the west coast of Michigan to enjoy the beautiful canopy of trees.
We welcome our new members from the Tri-State area, and invite you to join us and see how much fun you can have driving your Corvette. For more info, contact Dave at FCCC@westohiocorvettes.com
